The Christian Music Summit in 140 characters

It’s the second year for the Christian Music Summit here in Buffalo, NY. Concerts, seminars, gear and hang time. I’ll write more later today

Getting back into the groove

There have been a few changes that have allowed me to get back into a groove. I’m working two jobs, but both are three days a week. The bands I’ve been playing in are on break until further notice. One job allows me computer access the whole day so I can start to post to twitter and facebook more regularly. woo hoo

Where does the time go?

Seem like I just woke up, but that was 18 hours ago. I can’t believe it’s midnight again and I have to get up in 6 hours. There aren’t enough hours in the day anymore.

I certainly got plenty done today, but I’d like a little more time to relax (play WOW) before I hit the sack

Oh well

How is your day going?

Do you feel rushed or relaxed?

It started out so well……

I’m trying out something new- the  Sunday Six. The idea is you take six pictures on Sunday that illustrate your day. Here are my six:

The beginning- Coffee and the internet. Just like every day

My section of the stage during praise and worship- Yes that is my iPhone on top of my laptop, I use the laptop to set time or remind me how a song starts. The paper is the set list for the month.

Rain on the windshield. I’m heading off to the new computer store to do some rough framing. The new store opens in a week.

The tech room. At this point the only thing ready is the original brick wall!!

Bright sunshine on the drive home. Here I have stopped to take the shot. The sun is just above the level of the street. This is key to what happened next.

OUCH!! This is the result when a Ford explorer and a 9,000 pound F-350 try to occupy the same space. The F-350 was brand new. His passenger side front took the impact. I got the worst of the damage. The window exploded. I remember thinking” Gee, the airbags didn’t go off. Everyone was stunned when I pulled to the side of the road and got out. We exchanged info, got witness information, exchanged pleasantries and left.  God is good, he kept me safe. The Driver’s power window was acting up. I was wondering how I was going to fix it. I wonder no more.

OK, So. it’s lame. It’s still cool

Today’s Motto is….

Got an email yesterday. OK ,I got lots of email yesterday but one stood out. The moral of the story in the email was- Life may not be the party we had hoped for, but while we are here we might as well dance. Profound? Maybe. Cliché? Certainly. Yesterday and today it is the exact thing I need. The past 48 hours have sucked. My truck is broke ($1200). I have a wicked cold, a migraine and I had to bail on both Wednesday night service and Thursday night rehearsal.
May I have the next dance?

And so it goes

Funny how one good day can change your mood. Last night as I was leaving for the Bandits game it dawned on me that I’d left my phone and wallet at home. This meant that the pizza I had looked forward toll day was not gonna happen. Then I had to park in the surface lot and not in the employee lot adding a 5 minute walk  in 5 degree temperatures. Then to finish off the evening, the whole crew was stuffed into the smallest press box. Still the Bandits won and I made it home safe. Today went much better and I’ll be off to get a pizza momentarily.I’ve started to use tweedeck for twitter and it makes the whole experience way better. Topping things off NCIS is on again.

Woo Hoo
